Bruce Dern is a great actor he is one of the best in the business at playing the bad guy or the complete psycho. He has made a very good career with outstanding performance after outstanding performance. He is regarded as a much better actor than what we actually get to see most of the time. On paper it may seem like he has played a great deal of similar roles over the years and in a way he has, but Bruce Dern gave each one of these roles a life of their own.
Tattoo (1981)
Bruce Dern is excellent playing the role of mentally ill tattoo artist Karl Kinsky, his performance really is quite bone chilling and one of the best in his career. Tattoo tells the unnerving story of a tattoo artist hired to do some temporary tattoo work on a few models. He takes a liking to one of the models an takes her captive against her will. He wants to make a masterpiece on her body, she tries to escape but she can not get away.

Black Sunday (1977)
Playing a deranged pilot due to his years of torture in a Vietnamese prisoner of war camp Bruce Dern playing the role of Michael Lander, Bruce Dern will make you feel uneasy in this fantastic role. This movie is simply amazing the story is that tells of Michael Landers working with a terrorist group in order to commit a huge terrorist act during the Super Bowl. There is a race against time to stop this terrorist attack from happening in this edge of you’re seat thriller.

Family Plot (1976)
Bruce Dern plays the role of George Lumley who is a bit of a con man and a taxi driver. Both George Lumley and his girlfriend who is a fake TV psychic are on the look out for a boy who was given up for adoption years ago. The reasons for this are not really noble as they have been promised a huge cash reward if they can do this. This may not be one of Hitchcock’s classics but as far as his later movies go this in part due to Bruce Dern’s performance is one of the best of his later movies.
