Dark Side of the Sun

Rick (Brad Pitt) is a young man in search for a cure for a dreaded skin disease that will kill him if he is exposed to light. In a small town on the Adriatic, a local healer has provided him with a cure, but it’s a cure that can only last for three days. Rick probably has a rare form of porphyria. At its most severe, it can result in death by paralysis. Realizing that this may be his only chance to break free from the binds of his illness, Rick decides to live those three days to the fullest. Rick finds respite in the form of a young American girl. Together they fall in love, knowing that the love can never last beyond three days. Yet each secretly hopes for a miracle, which never comes.
